Christmas in Siem
Riep is just a little weird!
We’re having a
severe cold snap:
It has been down to 66 ºF at night.

That’s 18 ºC
for our northern neighbours.

We're sleeping under blankets without A/C.

It’s often hard in the first world to remember what Christmas is supposed to be about. Here, surrounded by Buddhist pagodas spaced like gas stations in southern California ... it’s just strange.
Our church got a
bunch of us together to sing carols on Pub Street and the surrounding market
areas, again this year.
Picture this: Crowds of tourists taking pictures like crazy;
Do they having a clue what we sing about?
A few bar and restaurant patrons sang along with us;
A touch of the familiar in a foreign land?

| The first stop on our evening Christmas Caroling adventure. |
As you take time to
remember THE GIFT given to all of us,
please pray for all who are serving,
shining THE LIGHT in a dark place.

We pray Blessings,
Peace, and Joy in the Lord
to you and your
families this Christmas Season,
John & Jackie
